Android Screenshot Guide
Learn how to capture your screen on any Android device, including Samsung, Google Pixel, and other manufacturers.
Standard Method (Works on Most Android Devices)
- Navigate to the screen you want to capture
- Press and hold the Power + Volume Down buttons simultaneously
- Hold for about 1 second until you see a flash or hear a shutter sound
- The screenshot will be saved to your Photos/Gallery app
Note: On some devices, you might need to press Power + Home button or Power + Volume Up
Samsung Galaxy Devices
- Method 1: Swipe the edge of your hand across the screen from left to right or right to left
- Method 2: Press and hold Power + Volume Down buttons
- Method 3: Use the Smart Select tool in the Edge Panel
Google Pixel Devices
- Method 1: Press Power + Volume Down buttons
- Method 2: Open the Recent Apps view and tap "Screenshot" button
- Method 3: Say "Hey Google, take a screenshot" (if voice commands are enabled)
Using Google Assistant
- Say "Hey Google" or long-press the Home button to activate Google Assistant
- Say "Take a screenshot"
- The screenshot will be taken and you'll see options to share or edit
Scrolling Screenshots (Long Screenshots)
- Take a regular screenshot using any method
- Look for a "Capture more" or "Scroll capture" option in the screenshot preview
- Tap it to extend the screenshot further down the page
- Repeat until you've captured all desired content
Note: Not all devices or apps support scrolling screenshots
Finding Your Screenshots
- Open your Photos/Gallery app
- Look for a "Screenshots" album or folder
- Alternatively, check the "Pictures/Screenshots" folder in your File Manager
